Physicians

Robert-BetzRobert Betz, MD, is one of the original founders of the medical group and is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He attended medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and completed his residency at Glendale Adventist Medical Center. He has lived and practiced in our community for more than 25 years. In addition to gynecology and pregnancy care, he treats abnormal vaginal bleeding, incontinence, vaginal prolapse, difficulties with emptying the bladder and/or bowel, pelvic tissue relaxation, abnormal periods, female hormone problems, and other womens health issues.

Dr. Betz and his wife, Mary, have three grown boys. When he is not in the office or in surgery, he enjoys water sports, skiing, hiking and bicycling. One of his favorite ways to unwind is tooling away on projects in his woodworking shop.

Stephanie-NainaniStephanie Nainani, MD, is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She came to Walla Walla from the Mayo Health System in Minnesota where she was a practicing physician at Albert Lea Medical Center. Dr. Nainani earned an MD degree from Loma Linda University, where she also received a Master of Science degree in biochemistry. Her residency was completed at the Medical College of Georgia, located in Augusta, Georgia, in 2006.

Embracing her alma mater's philosophy, "to make man whole," Dr. Nainani emphasizes care of the whole person. This philosophy helps her to see each patient as a unique individual and guides her in seeking a comprehensive approach to health, whether it be caring for a pregnant patient in prenatal care and delivery or taking care of gynecologic problems.

Stephanie and her husband, Greg, are outdoor enthusiasts and are anticipating the beautiful Walla Walla weather. Greg Nainani has also joined the team at Adventist Health/Medical Group as an administrative resident for finance.

Ken-SniderKen Snider, MD, is a welcome addition to the OB/GYN department. A graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and New York Medical College, he completed his residency at the Texas Tech Health Science Center in Odessa, Texas, and has most recently been working as an OB/GYN in Colorado. Dr. Snider is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational German and Italian.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Snider enjoyed a successful career in bioengineering. In his free time he served as an EMT and volunteered at Mission Bay Hospital in San Diego-experiences that convinced him to change career paths and go to medical school. He continued volunteering while attending medical school, traveling to the Red Cross Hospital outside of Guadalajara, Mexico on the weekends and found himself doing everything from sewing up wounds from bar fights to delivering babies. Dr. Snider and his wife, Andrea, recently welcomed their first child--a girl--and are enjoying the adventure of parenting.

Midwives
Our midwives believe in creating compassionate partnerships with mothers-to-be and their families. With an emphasis on personalized care and education, a certified nurse midwife is your partner, educator and advocate through your pregnancy experience.

Susan is Board Certified in both Nurse Midwifery and as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner which uniquely qualifies her to care for her patients throughout pregnancy and delivery. In addition to women's healthcare and pregnancy care, Susan enjoys seeing patients for breastfeeding and nutrition issues.

Susan lives with her husband in Walla Walla, has two grown sons and enjoys swimming, good movies and books and listening to music. She has been known to occasionally tickle the ivories.
