Are you concerned about breast health?
You're not alone.
It is very likely that in your lifetime you or someone close to you will experience breast cancer.
The Breast Health Center at Walla Walla General Hospital addresses both the art and science of breast health care, redefining the patient experience. Patients are assigned a Breast Health Specialist who assesses the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient and provides information to all women concerned about their breast health.
Breast Health Specialists at the Center are trained in all types of breast cancer and cancer treatments. They serve as a patient advocate, acting as a liaison with health care providers involved in the treatment plan. The specialists help patients and families through what can be a daunting process.
The Breast Health Center provides education on cancer prevention as well as education and emotional support for women with benign breast diseases or cancer diagnosis. Resources and support are provided for the patient and her family, to answer questions and address fears during the breast cancer experience.
