How You Can Help

patient-roomBigger Rooms, Better Care
Enhancing the Healing Environment is more than a simple makeover. This comprehensive project will increase the square footage of most of the rooms on the Medical/Surgical Unit in order to better accommodate patients, families and visitors. Caregivers will have easier access to essential clinical components as well as to patients. New equipment, communications and furnishings and a new décor will further contribute to positive outcomes. Every room will have its own computer for rapid access to patients’ medical records.

Significant changes are underway at WWGH, from new technology to a completely new ER and front entrance, and new patient rooms on the med/surg unit. Watch our Enhancing the Healing Environment Video to view the major changes taking place on our hospital campus.

A Multi-Year Project
Because we can’t close a busy hospital wing for renovations, this work is being carried out in a carefully-staged process, quietly, and with minimal disruptions. We anticipate that work on the Med/Surg Unit will be completed in 2014.

Caring Well for Our Community is Our Goal
All of the changes to our physical facilities currently in the works at Walla Walla General Hospital have a single purpose—to enhance our ability to provide the highest quality care for every person we serve.

Generous Partners Are Crucial to Our Success
Our philanthropic partners in this capital campaign are critical to the success of the project. Members of the Governing Board, leadership team members, medical staff, associated personnel and even volunteers are giving generously and pledging their financial support for this major initiative. Grateful patients, community members, businesses and professional leaders and foundations also have a stake in the project and are invited to help in its completion.
