Nurses to Benefit from Versant RN Residency Program
Walla Walla General Hospital is preparing to launch a nurse residency program. The hospital is teaming up with Versant, a not-for-profit organization specializing in nurse residencies, to offer this 18-week program designed to help new nursing graduates get up to speed quickly and safely.
WWGH is the first hospital in Washington state to offer the Versant RN residency program.
With instructor led courses, guided clinical experience and a dedicated mentor, the program provides consistency and support in training for new nurses. The program will increase the confidence and competency of new nurses, lessen turnover, and improve employee, physician, and patient satisfaction.
The first cohort of students will begin in August. For more information contact Randy Cardwell, director of staff education at WWGH, at 509-527-8302 or visit versant.org.
