Services

The goal of rehabilitation is to restore a person to a level of functioning in which he/she is able to resume, as early and independently as possible, the activities that are essential for daily life. We provide the highest quality rehabilitative care to help achieve that goal.

Our physical, occupational and speech therapists, address the physical, psychiatric, cognitive and environmental aspects of disability. They train patients in the skills they need to recover lost function and thereby increase independence. As integral members of the acute treatment team, our therapists work with the physician, nurse, social worker and other team members to improve the patient's function, train family members, bolster morale, facilitate hospital discharge planning, and arrange follow-up care. In the outpatient clinic, they treat patients with a wide variety of neurological, musculoskeletal, and cognitive-behavioral conditions, always with the ultimate goal of improved function and quality of life.

The caring mission driven environment of Walla Walla General Hospital contributes to the overall atmosphere of excellence fostered by our therapists. Therapists provide training for student therapists, conduct hospital-wide in-service programs, and undergo regular continuing education.

We provide physical, occupational and speech services for inpatients and day patients at Walla Walla General Hospital. Patients from any service of the hospital are eligible. We serve clients of all ages, including infants and senior citizens.
