Physician Satisfaction

Walla Walla General Hospital was named a 2011 5-Star Quality of Care hospital by Professional Research Consultants, Inc., a national healthcare research company that monitors physician satisfaction. WWGH received awards for overall quality of care, nursing care, and as a place to practice medicine, as well as for six different departments. Overall, WWGH received five 5-Star physician satisfaction awards and four 4-Star awards following its most recent physician survey.

The 5-Star Quality of Care designation is given to hospitals that achieve a score in the top 10 percent of the nation, based on the percent of physicians who rate the hospital as "Excellent". 4-Star awards represent hospitals that score in the top 25 percent nationwide. The survey includes more than 200 hospitals in the United States.

Physician satisfaction research is conducted every year through a series of confidential telephone interviews by PRC. The results and recommendations are then provided to WWGH to help direct strategies for continuously improving quality and physician satisfaction.
