Physician Biography
Gily Ionescu, MD, has recently joined Adventist Health/Medical Group. Dr. Ionescu earned his medical doctorate from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. He completed his internal medicine residency with a focus on infectious disease at the Dr. Victor Babes Hospital in Romania. During the seven years he worked as a physician in Romania, Ionescu also developed and launched the most popular online weight loss program in the country. After arriving in the United States Ionescu completed a masters degree in nutrition at Andrews University in Michigan and completed an additional internal residency program in Norwalk, Conn.
Dr. Ionescu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. His passions include public health education, nutrition, cooking and classical music.
